Two Charged Regarding Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Assault

Two individuals are now facing charges related to a suitcase robbery where a believed to be pepper spray resulted in harm at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and two counts of deploying a toxic agent, as confirmed by court officials.

The charges follow an probe of an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after getting out of a parking garage elevator, according to law enforcement.

A young child was among those injured during the incident. Several persons required hospital care and were eventually allowed to go home.

The incident – described by police as was not part of a series and not being treated as terrorism – caused train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a limited duration.
