Tributes Continue for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Face a Security Hold.

More than two weeks following the shocking loss of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones continue to honor the couple.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he only now felt prepared to post publicly about his profound loss.

"Adequate time has gone by that I can finally express my sorrow into words," shared Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner created an instant bond. "When we commenced sharing more moments together I knew this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor shared never-before-seen clips from the production, adding that he cannot recall "any day without mirth".

"The film is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob held dear. Which is among the many reasons he was the ideal person to helm it," Elwes expressed.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, noting: "Claiming that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I remember you." He ended with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Friend and Collaborator

In a distinct piece, revered director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the main character.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with everyone, and he grasped the human predicament of his character," Scorsese added.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Withheld

Recently, a Los Angeles court official ruled to prevent the publication of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, following a petition from the LAPD.

A court order put a security hold on the files to prohibit the public release of "any investigative information, notes, reports or photos" connected to the active case.

The coroner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the consequence of homicide, with a record noting the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Fallout and Commentary

In the wake of the deaths, public individuals offered different reactions.

Ex-President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, providing divisive statements that were widely condemned by numerous individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his voice to the detractors recently. Conversing on his show, Rogan labeled the statements as "disturbing" and remarked they showed a concerning deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan concluded by remarking that an adviser should have acted when the decision to weigh in on the tragedy was made.
