Aircraft Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Because of Crack in Windshield

A jet ferrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, per an official announcement which confirmed that Hegseth was safe.

"The plane touched down following established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, among them Secretary Hegseth, is secure," an official representative said in a public statement.

Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to the city of Brussels during the flight.

This event does not mark the first time that a United States armed forces jet carrying a top government figure has encountered mechanical issues.

In a previous incident this year, a United States Air Force aircraft carrying the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was forced to head back to Washington DC after experiencing a technical issue.
